VP ACCOUNT SERVICES
As a leader of the account services team, the VP Account Services is responsible for leadership, direction and management of the account services team, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while maintaining profitable projects. The VP Account Services develops and owns the processes, as well as the governance for the execution and implementation process for all project activities, contributing to the quality of the projects, adhering to the approved scope of work and ensuring the timeliness of deliverables, to meet client’s needs and the company’s objectives. The VP Account Services also creates cross-functional project plans and takes ownership of company-wide time management, cooperation within the organization, ensuring that Business Development, Network, Medical Communication and Medical Publication team members are all aligned on project-related goals and deliverables. The VP Account Services manages project-related and operational change within the organization and ensures timely and quality implementation of new systems to improve efficiencies.

The VP Account Services also creates cross-functional project plans and takes ownership of company-wide time management, cooperation within the organization, ensuring that Business Development, Network, Medical Communication and Medical Publication team members are all aligned on project-related goals and deliverables.
The VP Account Services manages project-related and operational change within the organization and ensures timely and quality implementation of new systems to improve efficiencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day leadership and management of the Account Services team
- Providing a direction to the team to align with the company’s strategy and client project deliverables
- Provide high-level account stewardship for the account directors
- Vision and determination to identify and develop opportunities to grow our clients’ business
- Provides strategic counsel to clients as requested
- Conveys accounts challenges and perspectives to project team members
- Participates in new business preparation/pitches as requested
- Partners with Business Development team members on the creation of statements of work (SOW) and budgets, ensuring projects meet expected margins
- Lead regularly scheduled Account Directors’ meetings
- Actively participate in regularly scheduled Account Services team calls and meetings and provide further guidance as needed
- Proactively communicates, consults and leads internal team meetings with other company departments to keep them informed of client and account activities and deliverables
- Oversees fulfillment of digital deliverables for all types of projects, and on-time and on-budget delivery
- Oversees and implements project and resource management platform to ensure the team operates highly efficiently
- Work with multiple teams in the organization to accurately determine, assign, track and manage project plans
- Continuously monitors company-wide utilization rates and profitability of executed and ongoing projects
- Development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous monitoring of all processes within the organization to ensure a highly efficient organization
- Ensure projects keep moving or blocking issues are identified in advance and communicated widely to relevant stakeholders
- Ensures company systems and procedures are adhered to and/or improved to ensure client expectations are fulfilled
- Ensure Account Services team comply with organizational requirements for protection and use of intellectual property
- Oversees timely creation of all project-related recons and burn-reports
- Analyzes business results to ensure strategies are working and client objectives are being realized
- Support finance in accurate forecasting within the RaFT with less than 5% difference each quarter from forecast to actuals by 15th of each month
- Responsible for actively motivating training and helping other account services team members achieve peak performance
- Managing feedback, communication, performance management and reviews of the team
- Organizational management, staffing, and account allocation / distribution within the team
- Available to travel on a limited basis when required (up to 10-15%)
Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of international pharmaceutical environment as well as healthcare agencies
- Understanding of the Sunshine Act (US) and other compliance rules and regulations as it relates to the company-wide businesses
- Strong client orientation and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of digital solutions
- Experience in delivery and oversight of digital solutions
- Fluent in spreadsheets and project management software
- Highly efficient in the use of Office 365
- Previous team management and mentoring skills
- Excellent decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving capability in a very fast-paced environment
- Be highly organized and able to keep team members moving forward and on track
